Orders & Made-to-Order Production

Are Molleln rings made to order?

Yes. Molleln rings are made after an order is placed rather than taken from mass-produced finished inventory. This allows us to make the selected ring size, metal, stone, and approved personalized details for your order.

How long does a standard ring take to make?

Standard production normally takes 6–8 business days. Standard shipping generally takes another 5–7 business days after production is complete. These are estimates, and complex designs, peak periods, address checks, or carrier delays may add time.

How long does a custom ring take?

Custom orders normally require 10–20 business days for production, followed by approximately 5–7 business days for standard shipping. The production estimate begins after the design details, price, and any required approvals have been finalized.

Can I rush my order?

For an eligible Standard Order, the $150 rush fee changes the estimate to 4–6 business days of production plus approximately 2–4 business days of expedited shipping. For an eligible Custom Order, the same rush fee changes the estimated combined production and shipping time to 15–18 business days from the start of production. If no listed delay exception applies and delivery is at least two business days later than the applicable maximum estimate, the $150 rush fee is refunded under the Shipping Policy.

When does production begin?

Production begins after payment is accepted and all required order details are complete. For customized designs, the timeline starts after the specifications and any required design confirmation have been approved.

Can I check the status of my order?

Yes. Email support@molleln.com with your order number. Please remember that a ring may remain in production for several business days before a shipping update is available.

Customization, Engraving & Ring Sizing

What can I customize?

Depending on the design, you may be able to change the center stone, stone shape or size, metal, metal color, ring size, setting details, and engraving. Some changes require a new quotation or a Custom Order. Feasibility depends on the ring’s structure and the materials selected.

How do I request a custom ring?

Visit the Customization page or contact us with reference images, preferred stone, metal, ring size, budget, and desired date. We will review the request and confirm what can be made before payment and production.

Can I add an engraving?

Engraving is available on eligible designs when the band has enough suitable space. Confirm the exact characters, capitalization, punctuation, and date carefully before production. Rings with engraving or other personalized details cannot be returned for personal reasons.

What ring sizes are available?

Many Molleln designs are available in US sizes 3–15, although the available range can vary by design and metal. Check the product page or contact us if the size you need is not shown.

How do I find my ring size?

Use the online ring size calculator and review the ring size guide. For an engagement ring or a costly custom order, we recommend confirming the result with a local jeweler before ordering. Finger size can change with temperature, time of day, band width, and measuring method.

Can my ring be resized after delivery?

Some rings can be resized, but the safe range depends on the band, setting, stone layout, engraving, and metal. Eternity bands and highly detailed designs may have limited or no resizing options. Contact us before arranging work with a local jeweler; Any third-party resizing or alteration performed without Molleln’s prior written approval voids the warranty for the entire ring.

Metals, Colors & Finishes

Which metals does Molleln offer?

Depending on the design, Molleln offers 925 sterling silver, 10K gold, 14K gold, 18K gold, and platinum. Available metal and color combinations are shown on each product page or confirmed during customization.

Are yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold available?

Yes, these colors are available for many designs, but the exact options depend on the selected metal and ring construction. If you are changing the metal or color shown in the product photographs, ask us to confirm the specification before ordering.

Can platinum be plated yellow gold or rose gold?

No. Molleln platinum is kept in its natural white color and is not offered with yellow-gold, rose-gold, or white-metal electroplating.

Will a plated finish last forever?

No surface plating is permanent. Friction, skin chemistry, moisture, cosmetics, cleaning products, and frequency of wear can gradually change the finish. Remove plated jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, cleaning, or using chemicals, and contact us if you need replating guidance.

Are Molleln rings hypoallergenic?

Metal sensitivity varies from person to person, so we do not describe every ring as universally hypoallergenic. If you have a known metal allergy, contact us before ordering and tell us which metals or alloys you need to avoid so that we can confirm the most appropriate available option.

Gemstones & Certificates

Does Molleln sell natural or lab-grown gemstones?

Molleln offers both, depending on the gemstone. Our rubies, blue sapphires, alexandrites, moissanites, and lab-grown diamonds are lab grown. Our peridots, citrines, moss agates, and black rutilated quartzes are natural. The origin of other stones should be checked on the relevant product page or confirmed with us before purchase.

Are lab-grown gemstones real gemstones?

Yes. A lab-grown ruby or sapphire has the same essential mineral composition and crystal structure as its mined counterpart, but it is created in a controlled laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. “Lab grown” describes origin; it does not mean the stone is glass or plastic.

Which gemstones are suitable for an everyday ring?

Lab-grown diamond, moissanite, ruby, and sapphire are strong choices for frequent wear because of their hardness and durability. Softer or more delicate stones—including opal, moonstone, turquoise, and some included or patterned gems—need more protection from impact, scratches, heat, and chemicals. No gemstone is indestructible, and the setting design also affects durability.

Will my gemstone look exactly like the website photograph?

Color can appear different under daylight, indoor light, and different screens. Natural gemstones can also vary in pattern, inclusions, tone, and transparency, making each stone individual. Lab-grown stones are generally more consistent, but small visual differences can still occur.

Does my ring come with a certificate?

Molleln provides a ring certificate with the finished ring. We do not provide a separate gemstone grading certificate unless a specific product page explicitly states otherwise. A ring certificate should not be interpreted as an independent laboratory grading report for the center stone.

What does the Molleln ring certificate cover?

The certificate identifies the finished ring and its recorded order specifications. It documents the ring supplied by Molleln; it is not a substitute for an independent appraisal, insurance valuation, or stand-alone gemstone grading report.

Shipping, Delivery & Customs

When will my order ship?

Your ring ships after production and quality inspection are complete. Standard rings usually require 6–8 business days of production, while custom orders generally require 10–20 business days. Shipping time begins only after the parcel is handed to the carrier.

How long does standard shipping take?

Standard delivery normally takes approximately 5–7 business days after production. Customs review, severe weather, remote destinations, security checks, and carrier disruptions can extend delivery time.

Does Molleln offer free shipping?

Eligible orders with a discounted merchandise subtotal over $200 qualify for free standard shipping to a supported destination. Taxes, duties, the $150 rush fee, gift packaging, and other service charges do not count toward the threshold. See the Shipping Policy for current details.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Molleln primarily ships through 4PX, which may transfer the parcel to USPS or another local last-mile carrier. Tracking is sent after dispatch and may take a short time to show the first scan or the last-mile handoff.

Who pays customs duties and import taxes?

The recipient is responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other destination charges unless checkout explicitly states otherwise. These amounts are set by local authorities or carriers and are not included in the product price.

Can I change my shipping address?

Contact us immediately. We may be able to update the address before dispatch, but an address change is not guaranteed after an order enters fulfillment or is transferred to the carrier. The customer is responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address.

What should I do if my package is delayed, damaged, or missing?

Check the tracking record first, then email us with your order number and photographs if the parcel arrived damaged. Keep the packaging and contents while the issue is reviewed. Carrier investigations and remedies depend on the shipment record and should be started as soon as possible.

Returns, Changes & Cancellations

Can I return a ring because I changed my mind?

Eligible, non-personalized rings may be requested for return within 7 calendar days of delivery. For an approved personal-reason return, Molleln offers either a 30% cash refund or 50% store credit, calculated according to the Refund Policy. The customer pays return shipping, and the ring must satisfy the stated return-condition requirements.

Can an engraved or personalized ring be returned?

Not for a personal reason. Any ring with engraving or another personalized modification is made specifically for that customer and is therefore excluded from change-of-mind returns. This does not remove your right to contact us about a verified manufacturing defect or an item that differs materially from the approved order specifications.

What should I do if my ring arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?

Contact support@molleln.com as soon as possible and within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number plus clear photographs or video of the ring, packaging, and issue. Do not arrange a third-party repair or return the ring until Molleln has reviewed the claim and provided written instructions.

Can I cancel or change a standard order?

For a standard order, cancellation or modification is free within 8 hours of purchase. From 8 hours through 3 days, the cancellation charge is 35% and the modification charge is 20%. After 3 days, the cancellation charge is 60% and the modification charge is 40%; cancellation or changes may be unavailable once the ring is near completion or complete. Feasibility must be confirmed before any change is accepted.

Can I cancel or change a rush order?

A rush order may be canceled without charge only within 6 hours of purchase. After 6 hours, it cannot be canceled. A modification may be considered only when technically feasible and is subject to a 40% modification charge.

How do I request a return?

Email us before sending anything back. An unauthorized parcel may not be accepted or correctly matched to your order. Follow the return address, packaging, carrier, and documentation instructions supplied in writing by Molleln.

Does Molleln offer trade-in credit?

An eligible ring may qualify for store credit of up to 40%, subject to condition, order history, and assessment. Approval and value are not automatic. Contact us with the original order number and current photographs for review.

Five-Year Limited Warranty & Repairs

How long is the Molleln warranty?

Molleln provides a five-year limited warranty for eligible manufacturing and workmanship issues. It is not an unconditional replacement plan and does not cover every form of wear, accidental damage, loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration. See the Warranty page for the complete terms.

What is not covered by the limited warranty?

Exclusions include ordinary wear, scratches, dents, bent or broken parts caused by impact, loss or theft of the ring, improper care, exposure to damaging chemicals, and work performed without Molleln’s prior written authorization. Gemstone wear or damage caused by impact is not automatically a manufacturing defect.

What support is available if the main stone is loose but not lost?

Contact Molleln before arranging any repair. With prior written approval, an eligible local repair may be reimbursed up to $30. This reimbursement may be used no more than twice during the five-year warranty period; receipts and evidence of the approved repair are required.

What happens if the main stone is lost?

A lost main stone is not treated the same as a retained loose stone. When the case is eligible for warranty support, replacement may require a material charge of up to 30% of the original order value, together with any applicable shipping or service costs. Molleln must assess and approve the case before work begins.

What support is available if a side stone under 0.4 ct falls out or is lost?

For the first eligible incident, Molleln will provide up to three replacement accent stones under 0.4 ct each without a gemstone charge; additional stones are charged normally. The customer pays shipping. If local resetting is needed, Molleln may reimburse up to $30 after prior written approval and receipt review. This complimentary support applies to the first eligible incident only; later incidents are paid services.

Can I take the ring directly to a local jeweler?

Ask Molleln for written authorization first. We may approve local inspection or repair when it is more practical, but reimbursement is available only when the work and maximum amount were approved in advance. If a third party alters the ring without Molleln’s prior written approval, the entire ring is no longer eligible for warranty coverage.

Is replating covered?

Confirmed visible peeling of an eligible plated finish qualifies for complimentary replating during the five-year warranty period. The customer pays round-trip shipping, customs, and related charges. Gradual fading, tarnish, oxidation, scratches, and ordinary surface wear are not treated as peeling; platinum is not plated.

Who pays shipping for warranty service?

Shipping responsibility depends on the type and cause of the claim. The customer pays shipping for the complimentary first replacement of an eligible side stone under 0.4 ct and for later paid replacement stones. For other claims, wait for Molleln’s written instructions before sending the ring or purchasing a shipping service.

Jewelry Care

How should I clean my ring?

For durable stones, use lukewarm water, a small amount of mild soap, and a very soft brush, then rinse carefully and dry with a lint-free cloth. Do not use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner unless a qualified jeweler has confirmed that the specific gemstone, treatments, setting, and metal are suitable.

When should I remove my ring?

Remove it before swimming, showering, exercising, gardening, cleaning, lifting heavy objects, or using lotions, bleach, chlorine, or other chemicals. Store rings separately so that harder stones and metals do not scratch softer jewelry.

How often should the setting be checked?

Inspect the ring regularly for movement, catching prongs, unusual gaps, or rattling. A professional inspection every 6–12 months is sensible for a frequently worn engagement ring, and sooner after an impact. Stop wearing the ring and contact us if a stone feels loose.

Still Need Help?

Email support@molleln.com and include your order number when applicable. For order-specific concerns, photographs or a short video will usually help us assess the issue more quickly.

Production, delivery, return, and warranty eligibility depend on the order and the complete applicable policy. Review the linked policies and obtain written authorization before returning a ring or arranging a repair.
